From the corner next to the large, beautiful Nava family palace we will point out the Santa Catalina chapel, Convent of cloistered Dominican nuns (1611) and begin our stroll along the street known as "La Carrera" (Obispo Rey Redondo)

Notable buildings along this street are Town Hall, La Alhondiga, and Alvarado Bracamonte.

At the corner of Viana we take a right hand turn to get to the patio of Casa Lercaro, which now houses the Museum of History and Anthropology upstairs. This lovely traditional home has a gorgeous interior courtyard with carved balconies of Canary Pine Tea wood.

We will continue toward the West along previously named Calle Real-now San Agustín to the (destroyed by fire in 1964) Church of San Agustín, Instituto Cabrera Pinto.

We take a left on Calle de Belen and walk to the beautiful Plaza of the Church of the Immaculate Conception (1496)

If there's a mass, we might be able to peek into this really beautiful National Historic monument.

From here, we'll walk back all along the street of La Carrera to the Plaza del Adelantado.

Once the cultural visit is finished, return to the hotel
