How to reach Murcia

The easiest way to reach Murcia is landing at the Alicante airport (ALC) and take the bus to Murcia (55 minutes, 5 times per day).

However you can also reach Murcia from Madrid-Barajas (MAD), Valencia (VLC) and Murcia-San Javier (MJV) airports.

Other option it is to take a flight to Madrid-Barajas or Barcelona-El Prat, which have regular flight connections to Alicante.

Alicante Airport (ALC)

ALC is an international airport and the best choice to come to Murcia.

From the arrivals floor, you will have to move upstairs to the departures floor and then go outside. Once you are outside, you will find the Bus stop on the right. Look for the 'ALSA' sign To Murcia.

You can buy the ticket on the bus or from the sales clerk who is sometimes near the bus stop (Bus stop location).

Madrid-Barajas Airport (MAD)

Madrid-Barajas is the biggest airport in Spain. If you land at Madrid-Barajas you can reach Murcia by train or bus.

Train is probably the easiest, fastest and comfortable way to reach Murcia. Madrid-Barajas is directly connected to Chamartin-Renfe train station by Underground. Metro line 8 runs from all the airport terminals to Nuevos Ministerios station in central Madrid (Line 8 map).

Once you are in Atocha-Renfe train station you can buy a regular train to Murcia-El Carmen train station

Valencia Airport (VAL)

If you land at Valencia airport the easiest way to arrive to Murcia is by train.

The main train station of Valencia is Valencia-Nord. You can take the Metro lines 3 and 5 and get off at Xàtiva stop (50 meters to train station).(Metro Valencia).

Alternatively, you can take a bus from the airport to Valencia-Nord. This option is cheaper and you can enjoy the view of Valencia, although travel takes longer.

Once you are in Valencia-Nord train station you can buy a regular train to Murcia-El Carmen train station.

San Javier Airport (MJV)

MJV is a small local airport.

Once you are outside you must get the airport bus ('La Inmaculada' company) to the Santiago de la Ribera town (limited service). (MJV Airport Bus Link)

From Santiago de la Ribera you can get a regular bus to Murcia (LAT company) (Santiago-Murcia Bus Link).

Choose: DEPARTURE: Santiago de la Rivera ARRIVAL: Murcia

You can also take a taxi (55 € approx.)

19:00 Cocktail Reception

The cocktail reception in the cloister of the Faculty of Law, will be held at Campus de La Merced in Murcia. Campus de La Merced is in the city center of Murcia. Most Hotels are also in the center, so the easiest way to reach the campus is on foot.
